As 2024 comes to an end,

2024 was a year of transformation. A year where technology pushed boundaries, design redefined possibilities, and user experience reminded us of the power of simplicity and connection. As we close this chapter, let’s reflect on the highlights that shaped our collective journey.

AI: Beyond Innovation, Toward Impact

Artificial Intelligence didn’t just make headlines this year—it made a difference. From revolutionizing cancer research at Institut Curie to empowering educators in India to craft better lesson plans, AI became a tool for meaningful change. Projects like Guacamaya’s use of satellite imagery to combat deforestation showcased its ability to address global challenges.

AI in 2024 wasn’t just about the technology—it was about the possibilities it unlocked, proving that progress is best measured by impact, not hype.

Microsoft CoPilot: The Productivity Revolution

If AI was the star, Microsoft CoPilot was the showrunner. This transformative tool streamlined workflows, reimagined productivity, and empowered professionals across industries to work smarter. CoPilot didn’t just help us do more—it helped us think differently about how work gets done.

For me, integrating CoPilot into SharePoint projects brought a new level of efficiency and creativity to the table, making it an indispensable tool in modern digital workplaces.

SharePoint: The Evolution of Collaboration

2024 saw SharePoint emerge as more than just a platform—it became a hub for innovation. Enhanced document processing, seamless integration with Microsoft Lists, and enriched UI features like section backgrounds transformed it into a true collaboration powerhouse.

One of my highlights this year was leading departmental site rollouts and UAT feedback sessions, ensuring these tools worked not just for teams but for the people behind them.

Product Design: Creativity Meets Purpose

This year’s product design trends were a masterclass in marrying form with function. Innovations like the Ravenchord Piano and Camino Smart Walker showcased how thoughtful design can solve real-world problems while inspiring wonder.

In my own journey, I had the privilege of contributing to projects that bridged innovation and practicality, reinforcing the belief that design is at its best when it serves humanity.

UX in 2024: Shaping the Future

Generative UI, mental models, and methodologies like card sorting dominated discussions in UX, guiding us toward more intuitive and accessible digital experiences. These stories weren’t just about new ideas—they were about rethinking old ones to create better, more inclusive solutions.

Workshops and collaborations focused on integrating AI into UX design were some of my personal highlights, reminding me of the limitless possibilities that emerge when technology and creativity converge.

Looking Ahead to 2025

This year was a testament to what’s possible when we embrace change and lean into innovation. As we step into 2025, the question isn’t just, “What’s next?” but, “What can we create together?”

Here’s to building on this momentum, creating meaningful impact, and redefining what’s possible in the year to come.

What was your highlight of 2024? Let’s celebrate the wins and gear up for an even brighter future.
